According to a report at the meeting, the epidemic situation in the province is complicated and difficult to control, there are cases related to industrial zones and there have been cases of infection in concentrated isolation areas. The localities face many difficulties due to the rapid increase in the number of cases, some of which are of unknown origin. The demand for screening tests by rapid tests at treatment facilities, isolation areas and in the community is very high, so many localities are lacking of medical human resources and medical supplies and biological products.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thuong - Deputy Director of Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the Working Group of Ministry of Health said that after the first three days of working with the localities, the Working Group has initially grasped the situation and is working on specific plans to support Tra Vinh province. The Working Group also conducted a risk assessment for each commune and district. Thereby, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thuong said that Tra Vinh is at a golden time to fight the epidemic. At the same time, Head of the Working Group suggested that the province should consider restructuring anti-epidemic forces. The localities should assign specific and clear teams according to each task such as tracing, testing, treatment, data entry, etc. Establish a tracing coordination team in each commune and district with the task of assessment and analysis for each F0 case to plan the investigation and trace, verify the tracing results before sending to the Steering Board of district and province, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Vu Thuong spoke at the meeting

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Vu Thuong also suggested that the province should organize a monitoring system according to risk zones and risk places, especially paying attention to high-risk places such as industrial parks, markets, hostels and households at risk. For industrial zones, it is necessary to ensure that the enterprises strictly comply with the requirement of "3 on the spot". Strengthen strict control of quarantined and blockade areas, absolutely do not let people go out on the street or outsiders into isolation and blockade areas. In the reporting and analysis work, it is recommended to make specific statistics on the number of cases by each source of infection (from blockade areas, isolation areas, in the community, industrial zones, etc.) to have a direction to properly assess the situation and trends of the epidemic and take timely and appropriate handling measures.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Van Han - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Board for Covid-19 epidemic prevention and control requested the localities to seriously review and implement the previous implemented directives, at the same time, compare the actual situation of the localities to study, absorb and implement the comments of Ministry of Health’s Working Group. At the same time, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee encouraged the localities to make great efforts, take advantage of the golden time to implement social distancing and the support of Ministry of Health's Working Group to quickly control the epidemic.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han also directed to strengthen the screening and identification of risks to limit the chains of infection in the community. Pay special attention to close inspection and supervision in isolation areas and isolation groups for those who have returned from outside the province and those who have been in close contact with the F0 case. Survey and assess the risk of each region to have a direction to establish isolation and blockade areas close to the situation. Pay more attention to the issue of vaccination and urgently conduct timely injection of the allotted amount of vaccine. Implement well the policy of supporting the affected people according to Resolution 68, in the spirit of "soonest, most timely", preventing people from lack of food, clothing or medical care. The localities urgently coordinate with the departments and sectors based on the issued directives and guidelines to solve the problem of circulation of essential goods, and assist people in harvesting and consuming agricultural products./.
